This Smile

You are clothed in white lining
So hard to identify your leaning
You wake too early and sleep too late
Draining my blood without leaving a faint
You are a brimstone
You melt my skin and bone
You are hot and dry
Burning my barn leaving not a fly
You come as a whirlwind at night
Listening to tales of our forefathers blight
You sweep my children away from my sight
Leaving me ditched without courage to fight

Sweat sweet and savaged

You are happy and loud
So loud you cannot hear when mama calls
Who will fetch her water to quench her thirst
Oh’ the errand girl is here playing too
You are running singing shouting squatting
And bending to drop a stone behind your victim
Sweat dripping from the side of your head
Down through the back of your ears to your chin
Your dust-engulfed feet dirty and wet dress do not alarm you.
It won’t because it is sweet to play.
Your smile does not reveal your intentions
I am swamped in your mojo
Your indifferent facial expression
Locks me in the dark
Singing and gazing as you move around in circle
Calculating your steps towards me so fast
Until you hit my back
I am savaged watching a risky drama.
